Fast General Contracting delivered the complete construction of the Epic Maintenance Center for the City of Grand Prairie, a critical build to support the city’s utility operations, data management and emergency response needs.
This project required extensive site development including a large-scale parking lot addition, entry and exit drives, controlled access gates, flumes and drainage systems. One of the project’s most unique elements was the decommissioning of one of North Texas’ major water wells – over 1,000 feet deep – and the installation of a new monitoring system inside the existing well structure to support ongoing underground water studies and data collection for future use.
Fast performed all demolition and site preparation, including the removal of above-ground electrical lines, the existing well equipment and related underground infrastructure. The new maintenance center building was constructed to support Grand Prairie’s utility data systems and emergency operations, featuring advances electrical, data and internet infrastructure throughout.
The Fast team self-performed all construction including all site work, utilities, parking, gates and access control systems, and all supporting infrastructure while building the facility ground-up and in strict accordance with the city’s design and specifications.
The Epic Maintenance Center is a fully integrated, highly secure facility built to serve the City of Grand Prairie for years to come.
